    1. My favorite moments between Jung Hwan and Duk Seon are too many! But maybe one that made me laugh so hard was the one when there were only two of them at Taek’s room then Jung Hwan felt cramped on his feet and then Duk Seon said the ‘miaw miaw! It was so hilarious:))

    2. Hm, i think they have every reason to be together. No one loves Duk Seon better than Jung Hwan and I so believe Duk Seon felt the same way. Another plus plus point, you can’t help falling for the duo Duk Seon and Jung Hwan’s appa whenever they greetef each other. So, what’s there left to say they don’t belong together?

I really want the copy. Hopefully I will be one of them ^_^

For me, Deoksun and Jungpal are two imperfect person that will perfected each other should they be together. Though at first before the premiers of the glory story, I root for Sunwoo or Taek to be the husband coz I thought they are handsome enough to be the husband (Lol I’m so bias against handsome actors) but Junghwan had me at that smirk he secretly lift up during Deoksun Olimpik’s scene. That smirk is so charming and I was like’ eeyyy what’s wrong with you, silently rooting for her aren’t you?’ hahaha

Another scene that I soooo in love till now is the bus scene when Jungpal protect Deoksun in that rowdy bus. That pop up vein to protect your women and Deoksun little smile-I’m melting~ andddd I better stop my ranting now or you will get tired reading this coz I have lotssss of amazing-awesome-giddy-scene about them that I love so much ā¤

And because my last episode for this story is EP 18, I start looking for fanfictions that will satisfy my thirst for their happy ending and wenyeol~there you are with your perfect ending for them. And I sincerely want to thank you for your amazing story. Keep up your good work authornim and write manyyyyy happy ending story for Jungpal and sooyeon-ie hahaha

    1. The most favorite moments beetwen Duk Soen and Junghwan is when they ride the bus to school. Jung Hwan stand behind Doek Sun in the bus to prevent her falling and shaking while riding the bus. The way he did it is showing how important Doek Sun to him. He always try his best to protect Doek Sun even Doek Sun never ask to.

    2. Why they must belong together? they have a lot of reason to be together!! the way Jung Hwan loves her, protect her and care about her is show more than enough. I think Doek Sun deserves man who loves her so much. And so does Jung Hwan, he deserves to be together with a kind, caring and cheerful girl like Doek Sun

I love your story so much! This is how the drama ending should be. I hope i could wim the give away šŸ™‚ thank you for writing such a great story. Fighting! #TeamJunghwan. šŸ™‚

    1. My favorite moment between Junghwan and Deoksun would be the one in Episode 6, when Deoksun got mad after finding out that Junghwan, Dongryong and Sunwoo were eating ramen all by themselves and asked them why they didn’t call her out to eat. Junghwan retorts and said, “Do we ever contact each other before? We always come and eat on our own.” and then he mentioned Deoksun’s red cheeks and asked her if she’s Aurora from “A Dog of Flanders” because she looks like “some country hicks.” Then Deoksun backfires at him by saying “Are you Nello then? You look like a country bumpkin!” and Junghwan gets mad and yells at her, “Hey! Kokudas Cookie!” And before they could go on fighting, Dongryong stops them. I really liked this scene because it shows the dynamic of their relationship, sucks that we didn’t get to see this in the end. šŸ˜¦

    2. Junghwan and Deoksun belong together because their relationship is different, compared to the typical love story among typical couples, where boy meets girl and boy finds girl pretty, pursues her and all that. Just like in Reply 1997 and Reply 1994, their relationship started at the very beginning of their lives. It also mirrors the ideal relationship that I want to share with my future s/o: fun, bickering but can also be sweet and caring at the same time. Even though they fight like kindergarten students, they know how to love and protect each other. I love the idea of being able to hit my future s/o + wrestle over petty things but also immediately turn into qt love birds in an instant.

    1. My favorite moment between JH & DS is when DS was telling JH in JH’s room that she has a blind date and JH telling DS not to go. That is seriously one of the most squeelworthy moments because JH would usually not say anything like this. It was probably one of the moments all JH-DS shippers rejoiced!! ^^

    2. JH & DS belong to each other because despite their shortcomings each strength one party has covers the other party’s weakness. For example, while DS is expressive in her emotions, JH is quite reserved and shows his emotions through his actions. Therefore, although separate they’re imperfect, together they are perfect. And no other individual will fit better with JH and DS than the both of them together.

I really love all your stories about JH & DS so I really hope I can get the copy so I can keep re-reading it again and again! This ship will not die!!! Especially with Hyeri and Junyeol mentioning each other all the time!! ^^

    1. The most favorite moment between Deoksun and Junghwan is when Junghwan know that Deoksun rejected by Sunwoo. And Junghwan hiding in the back door and his nosebleed, but keep laughing ’cause he already know Sunwoo didn’t like her back, and that time he begin to “flirting” with Deoksun.
Another scene that i love is proposing (or confession?) scene. Is not only Junghwan speak, but the way his eyes staring Deoksun is really precious-wonderful-beautiful-WOW. And it’s really suck when i know the ending it’s not with him. But with…. you-know-who.

    2. Why Junghwan and Deoksun belong together? The chemistry. I don’t really have the chemistry between the husband and Deoksun. But with Junghwan and Deoksun, you can see their future being together. Even we hallucinations, the future husband at the first episode describe Junghwan A LOT. The way they speak to each other, the way they bickering, but you know Junghwan really care about Deoksun the most. Like he care about his brother, like he care about his mom and dad. He’s not type to show his care to another person, but he is the most caring people in ssangmundong. Like Deoksun care about her family too.
Even i realize somehow the future husband character somehow related to Taek (now, when we already know that Taek is DS husband), you can’t avoid the chemistry between Junghwan and Deoksun is really deep and lovely.
I really want a husband like Junghwan. It’s really boring when your husband is always accept what you say, give what you want without denial. Relationship with fight, bickering and something like that grow more stronger. It’s the recipe of longlast married couple.

  9. Yours says:

    1. My favorite Reply 1988 moment between Jung hwan and Deok sun is in episode 6, when Deok sun rejected by Sunwoo. Junghwan waiting for first snow that night, waiting Sunwoo confess about his feeling towards Deoksun. But when he know that Deok sun rejected by Sun Woo, even he getting nosebleed, he really happy about that. Before that scene we know he don’t have appetite, but that night he want ramyun after his mom ask. He definetly happy. After that night he become more “Flirting” to Deok sun.
To add more scene that i love, is Confession (or Propose?) scene in episode 18. I love his eyes when he tell Deoksun about their relationship before they separated. I keep crying when i watch that scene. That’s why all Junghwan and Deoksun shipper keep thinking that the end episode of Reply 1988 is in episode 18.

    2. Why I think Junghwan and Deoksun belong together? Because their chemistry is really no joke. I never think about Deoksun and Taek being together before episode 19 aired. Cause all reply series (1997 or 1994) keep question viewer who is the husband, when we all know from the very first episode who is the husband. If international fans don’t believe that, keep believe Kfans, ’cause they (somehow) know the husband.
Old married couple saying their longlast recipe is they bickering, they sometime fight, but after that they keep together. Cause they know what’s really bothering them when they fight.
And why the future Deoksun is Lee mi yeon, Junghwan crush? Why in episode 19 Deoksun saying to her husband stop reading manhwa, when all of the people know that the one who read manhwa is Junghwan?
It’s not fair. Not only the viewers of this drama tell it feel wrong (about the ending), also the real actor/actress who play the character (Ra mi ran omma, Dong ryong, Bora).
Even Jun Yeol and Hyeri. They built the great chemistry, but why the scripwritter making the husband is taek? They can’t make great chemistry only in 2 episodes.

    1. One of my favorite moments between Junghwan and Deoksun was in Episode 4 when Junghwan got a cramp in his leg and Deoksun did the “meow~” and they were so dorky and cute like they were so meant to be. ā¤

    it’s confession scene for me..
it doesn’t mean other gaedeok scenes are less significant, but i found it was so painstakingly sad and beautiful that i always burst with tears everytime i replay it in my mind.. it was the only time JH’s feeling finally out in the open, to be verbally expressed–telling the only girl he ever loved that he loves her that long.. that much.. that he was there everytime with or without her realized his presence and efforts. he was there.
(even hyeri was said be crying her heart out when filming this scene; deep inside she didn’t want to let JH go, right??)
most people in other ship or what so called neutral side might call this as desperate move because he knew that his romantic feeling for duksun had to come to an end in drama. but what i see is an opening that could’ve lead us to such beautiful ending as told by Goodbye, Hello. if only shinLee knows better..

seems everybody has mentioned them completing each other so i won’t say much.
they’re both visually and characteristically compatible. period.

and if they put 2 last eps at the earlier episodes then polished some closure after ep 18 it would be more believable.. and perfect.

thank you, eonnie for this chance to see DS-JH end up together in this alternate ending.

NADO SANGHAE ā™”ā™”ā™” I agree with you completely that this should have been what happened.

What others saw as an ending to Jung Hwan’s feelings for Deok Sun should have and could have been the beginning of a truly honest relationship between them. It was the perfect jump off point for when they go from friends to being more than friends.

Thanks for commenting, lovely! I always love hearing your thoughts šŸ™‚

Hello..Good day to all of you!! Love to read all the comments..I want to share my views.

I love all JH & DS’s moments. If I have to choose..it’s pink gloves. The moment DS mentioned how pink looks good on her..JH teased because its LMY. Then, they bickered. DS said she didn’t ask him to buy for her. And he replied as if he would. Then, she received present and surprised it was from JH. DS eagerly trying the gloves and she was happy. And her narration..she said “I was dying to make it obvious, but didn’t want to get caught”. From here, I believed DS has felling for JH. The pink gloves represented how JH listened to DS and wanted to fulfilled her wish. That’s his love.

Till today..everytime their moments lingering in my mind, it brings tears to me. Its still hurt me. So mean of PD and the writer. Why?? I just feel that DS is being forced to not choose JH.

JH & DS belong together because..they deserved each other! Their stories showed it is that way. If they were fated for each other, I believe they will be the most adorable couple ever..in good and worse terms.

And lastly, I love your “Goodbye, Hello” fanfic..i cried when I read it. Yes!! It is the perfect ending for JH & DS. Two thumbs up!!! The story telling is understandable, the characters are there…and the ending is beautifully written. I cried most when DS realised that she loves JH all this time and JH’s proposal. It was so sincere of him…..i feel him. Thank You!!

I hope, I am 1 out of 25 winners. Thank You once again. HUGS

My favorite moment between Junghwan and Deoksun should be.. when he stood behind her and held onto something for the both of them in that cramped bus. I dont know why but it’s what stuck to me the most. Maybe because of the background music for that particular scene? Can’t help falling. I remember having goosebumps! I always thought when they grow old and together Deoksun would say that that is THAT moment for her. Her ‘can’t help falling’ moment.

It was also when I knew I would be teamjunghwan through and through.

    2. they belong together because theys complete each other. He needs someone to evoke something in him and make him speak and show some kind of emotion. Which she did. Hence the constant bickering. She needs someone who could show her that shes being taken care of. That she too is loved. One thing she doesnt always feel at home. And he does. He did.

Ps. she also needs a slightly more mature mind for hwr. Lol she’s too childish sometimes. Case in point: when she urged jungbing to a cake eating contest on kim sajang’s birthday and junghwan was watching them and scolded them both. Lol he looked like a total oppa.

(Sorry! I somehow accidentally posted before I started typing D:) Here’s my completed post:

    1) There’s so many to choose from! But if I had to pick one, I’d choose the scene where Jung Hwan was trying not to burst out laughing at Deok Sun’s funny imitation of his dad at the dining table! The mood during the scene was so lighthearted and I can still remember her wide smile at the sight of his smile. Seeing Jung Hwan trying to suppress his laugh/love only made me wish even more for him to be the husband :'(.

    2) Because he can protect her and bring excitement into her life. Because she can make him less grumpy. Because we, the audience, were shown every step of his heartbreaking first love experience (the montage at the end of ep. 18 is proof). Jung Hwan and Deok Sun’s behavior towards their respective families, esp. siblings, was also evidence of how perfect they are for each other. Jung Hwan’s sweet, caring nature was evident when Jung Hwan wrote the phonetics of Mi Ran’s English name in her passport and when he is revealed to have always had a goal to fulfill his brother’s dreams. For Deok Sun, she obviously loves her siblings despite bickering often with them (i.e.: her fight with No Eul’s “girlfriend”, her tears after seeing Bo Ra’s small room.

Ugh. Remembering this is making me tear up again :((((((
